Constellation Statement on Quad Cities Clean Energy Center 

Quad Cities Clean Energy Center operators quickly extinguished a small fire on a battery early this morning in a Unit 2 electrical room located outside of the reactor building. There were no injuries to plant personnel during the fire and no impact to public health or safety. The fire was extinguished by the station’s onsite, highly trained fire brigade. Unit 2 remained safely operating at full power, while Unit 1 was offline and not impacted by the event. The cause of the fire remains under review.
