Non-profit supports America's largest apprenticeship readiness network
BALTIMORE (Feb. 25, 2026) — Constellation (Nasdaq: CEG) today announced a $150,000 donation in support of TradesFutures, a national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to expanding pathways into union construction apprenticeships and careers through Apprenticeship Readiness Programs (ARPs). Established by North America's Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and industry partners in 2023, TradesFutures maintains the gold standard in apprenticeship readiness through its Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) and represents the largest pre-apprenticeship network in any domestic industry, with over 270 ARPs in 34 states. Constellation each year employs several thousand union construction members and contracts with numerous suppliers that employ thousands more union construction members to work on Constellation projects.
TradesFutures expands community awareness of the wide range of construction trades across the U.S. and prepares ARP participants to apply to – and succeed in – high quality registered apprenticeship programs. With electricity demand rising to unprecedented levels – driven by the data economy, onshoring and electrification – Constellation is investing in the workforce of the future.
"Constellation is leading the charge to power America's growth as energy demand surges, and we will need a larger trades workforce to support nuclear uprates and outages and new construction in the nation's burgeoning data economy and manufacturing sectors," said Bryan Hanson, senior executive vice president and chief generation officer of Constellation. "With support from TradesFutures, NABTU and other workforce alliances, Constellation is stepping up to deliver the reliable, clean energy that keeps our communities strong, our businesses competitive and our nation secure."
Constellation's donation is based on the enormous value organized trades workers provide the company in construction and related services. In 2025, contracted building trades workers logged approximately 3 million hours of Constellation-contracted work. To ensure sustained support, Constellation has committed to making this donation for multiple years and expects it to scale as the business grows, encouraging sustainable long-term support for the trades.
Sean McGarvey, TradesFutures Board Chair and President of NABTU, representing more than 3 million skilled craft professionals across 14 national and international unions stated: "Constellation's leadership and generous support demonstrate a real commitment to expanding access to building trades career pathways and strengthening the workforce that keeps our country running. Together with Constellation, NABTU, and our industry alliances, we're expanding opportunity, growing the skilled workforce, and ensuring America has the talent needed for the clean energy economy."
Marina Zhavoronkova, TradesFutures executive director, added: "The nature of this anticipated initiative is the first of its kind for TradesFutures, reflecting industry demand for the skilled trades. We are grateful to Constellation for leading the way in establishing this innovative new program."
TradesFutures served over 7,700 individuals in 2025 alone, tripling the number of ARP participants served over the past five years, many of whom now work in the clean energy sector.
