Below are a few examples of Constellation’s investments to shape our future.
The Youth Energy Summit (Y.E.S.), hosted with the National Energy Education Development Project (NEED), is a weeklong program designed to inspire students by introducing them to clean energy careers through immersive experiences. In 2025, the program welcomed 69 students from Illinois, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

“I have benefited in numerous ways from attending Y.E.S. I have met amazing people here and have gone to wonderful places I never thought I’d go to, such as the nuclear power plant. Before attending the Youth Energy Summit, I was an overthinker about my future. The odds on my future felt very high pressure and I wanted to know the how, what and the why for my career path. Luckily, this experience taught me that the future is full of changes and that’s completely okay. Sometimes all it takes is taking on a new opportunity to realize growth is mostly in the areas we least expect it. To reemphasize how this experience has demonstrated the concept of change, prior to my experience, I expected to explore careers related to biology. [Now], I’m leaving the program with a newfound love for policy making and advocacy. The generous scholarship Constellation awarded me will help support my education in nuclear engineering. During my six months as a co-op with Constellation, I gained insights into career options, and I was able to pinpoint exactly what I would like to do after I graduate. The experience expanded my knowledge by providing practical applications for the lessons I learned in the classroom as well as additional learning opportunities through the mentorship of professional engineers. I have been fortunate enough to be offered a position with Constellation in the Nuclear Fuels Department as a result of my co-op that will allow me to continue my personal and technical growth after graduation from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

“Earning this scholarship, for me, is about breaking generational curses. At first, I did not want to go to college. I come from a neighborhood where young people are not expected to be aspirational, let alone actually achieve goals. I am the youngest of 12 children and I am the first in my immediate family to attend college. I went from leaving the only home that I ever knew, struggling to learn the English language and adapt to a new country, to being accepted into Carnegie Mellon University and earning a scholarship from Constellation.”
“Growing up in an immigrant family, we have a budget that is very restricted, so earning this scholarship means everything to me. Being accepted into a university was great, but then I had to worry about how it would be paid for, but with this scholarship, it’s like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I am the first in my family to attend college in the U.S., so having this financial help means that I have the option of not working while taking classes, so I can focus solely on school. With the help from Constellation, I’m that much closer to making my dreams a reality.”
Cordell Reed Trailblazer Scholarship
The Cordell Reed Trailblazer Scholarship honors Cordell Reed who was the first and only black Chief Nuclear Officer under Constellation's predecessor operating our Illinois nuclear fleet, and was a significant influence for individuals from communities of color to pursue careers in energy and engineering. This named scholarship celebrates the legacy of his leadership.
Constellation Collegebound Scholars, Maryland
Collegebound Foundation provides resources and support for Baltimore City students plus wraparound services to college, through college. With the conviction that a key component of equal opportunities begins with a commitment to education, Constellation created this scholarship to assist first generation college students from Baltimore City with financial need interested in pursuing an energy, business or technology related career. First generation college students pursuing STEM careers with financial need are eligible to apply.
Constellation Rising Scholars, Maryland
Constellation supports recent graduates of the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute by awarding $5,000 scholarships per year for four years to five students, for a total of $100,000, as part of the company’s Rising Scholars program.
Constellation STEM Scholars at UMBC, Maryland
UMBC is a top ranked national university with an inclusive culture that connects innovative teaching and learning, research across disciplines and civic engagement. Constellation scholarships help students from all backgrounds prepare for successful careers in STEM and beyond.
Constellation STEM Scholars at CCBC, Maryland
Constellation launched the Constellation Scholars at Community College of Baltimore County to support students pursuing degrees and certificates in fields that require knowledge of science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). In addition to providing renewable energy and solar installations to power CCBC campuses, Constellation additionally supports scholarships for students to pursue careers in STEM.

In addition to the above, we provide scholarships for nuclear and engineering programs at various universities including Howard University, Penn State, Purdue University, Rensselaer Polytechnic, Rutgers University, Syracuse University, Temple University, University of Illinois, University of Maryland and University of Michigan.
E2 Energy to Educate
Through the E2 Energy to Educate grant program, Constellation offers students from sixth grade through college opportunities to address the energy challenges of today and tomorrow. Grant funds support projects designed to enhance students’ understanding of science and technology and inspire them to think differently about energy. Grant recipients are announced each year during American Education Week in November.
Maryland Science Center
On its first day as a new, Baltimore-based company, Constellation affirmed its commitment to the Maryland region and STEM education with a $1 million multiyear donation to the Maryland Science Center. The donation will fund Science Beyond the Classroom, Powered by Constellation, the Maryland Science Center’s longstanding program supporting free admission for all Maryland students visiting on field trips. A critical goal of the program will be to ensure all children have access to quality STEM education, recognizing that early access to science builds a foundation of lifelong learning. The sponsorship will ensure access to the Maryland Science Center for tens of thousands of students and teachers over the next five years.
Sacks for Science
For each sack made by the Baltimore Ravens defense during regular season games, Constellation will send a school group to visit the Power Up! Exhibit at the Maryland Science Center. Each season, one lucky school group will also win the grand prize: a behind-the-scenes tour of M&T Bank Stadium with a special guest!
