BGE HOME Joins Forces With Operation Gratitude to Assemble 3,000 Care Packages For Military Service Men And Women

Employees from BGE HOME, a Constellation company, will team up with national nonprofit Operation Gratitude to assemble 3,000 care packages for military service men and women on back-to-back mornings, March 6-7, at the Boumi Temple in Rosedale.

Approximately 250-300 BGE HOME employees will participate in the effort each day, assembling packages that will include toiletry essentials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, and razors, as well as signed cards thanking the military members for their commitment and service.

Since its founding in 2003, Operation Gratitude has sent more than 2 million individually addressed care packages to soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and coast guardsmen deployed overseas, to their children left behind, and to first responders, new recruits, veterans, wounded heroes, and their caregivers. Operation Gratitude provides civilians anywhere in the U.S. a way to say, “Thank You,” through active, hands-on volunteerism.

“We have several veterans employed here at BGE HOME who can attest to the positive impact receiving a care package can have,” said Tamla Olivier, President and CEO, BGE HOME. “This effort is a terrific means by which to express our appreciation for those who serve our country, and we are very grateful for the opportunity to work with Operation Gratitude on this meaningful and fulfilling project.”
