About Constellation

Constellation Energy Corporation (Nasdaq: CEG), a Fortune 200 company headquartered in Baltimore, is the nation’s largest producer of reliable, emissions-free energy and a leading energy supplier to businesses, homes and public sector customers nationwide, including three-fourths of Fortune 100 companies. With annual output that is nearly 90% carbon-free, our hydro, wind and solar facilities paired with the nation’s largest nuclear fleet have the generating capacity to power the equivalent of 16 million homes, providing about 10% of the nation’s clean energy. We are committed to investing in innovative technologies to drive the transition to a reliable, sustainable and secure energy future.

The Foundation for Our Clean Energy Future

Nuclear power is an essential part of carbon-free solutions to combat climate change.

  • Carbon-free: Nuclear power provides carbon-free electricity and a continuous power supply, even in extreme weather conditions.
  • Reliable balancing: Nuclear power contributes to grid balancing and management to ensure a stable and reliable energy system.
  • Variable renewables: Nuclear power can support higher deployment of variable wind and solar generation without the need for backup capacity from fossil fuel generation.
  • License renewals: Second license renewals of nuclear plants will extend carbon-free production to 80-years— more than three times the useful life of renewables and twice the useful life of coal.

The Most Reliable Source of Electricity

Constellation’s nuclear fleet produces energy America can rely on, staying online, on average, approximately 95 percent of the time. Constellation spends millions of dollars each year on capital projects to improve and modernize equipment at our plants to ensure they run efficiently and serve as a reliable source of carbon-free electricity.
