Powering Change Investment
The Powering Change Workforce Development Investment initiative provides donations annually to seven flagship community organizations that receive a combined $1.25 million to break down barriers by providing those in need with access to childcare, vehicles, training and mentorship to enter family sustaining jobs.
“Constellation has and will continue to ensure that we’re creating equal opportunities for all people to come and work at Constellation – and to thrive here,” said Joe Dominguez, president and CEO of Constellation. “That’s why we continue working with economically disadvantaged or impoverished communities – to introduce and elevate educational programs and workforce development resources to provide equal employment opportunities that otherwise may not be available.”

Nuclear Local Site Community Investments
Each of our nuclear sites is allocated $25,000 to distribute in the form of scholarship, programs, and educational funding to local communities and high schools. These programs provide students and local workforce training program participants with the opportunity to gain awareness of nuclear career pathways through activities, tours, and demonstrations, including our Limerick Pottstown Promise Program.
Our work to create awareness of the energy industry included launching the Chris Crane High School to Work program in 2024. This three-year dual credit program through Joliet Junior College’s Advanced Integrated Maintenance educational program is geared toward helping high school students learn the skills needed to start careers in the advanced manufacturing sector, including nuclear power. The program includes access to mentoring and opportunities to apply for scholarships, internships, and regular employment. More than 20 students participated in the program in its first year. By providing this experience, we hope to inspire students to pursue a career in the energy field.
PowerEd University Collaborations and Constellation Scholars
To further expand our pipeline of highly skilled talent to meet the needs of our organization and uplift and strengthen our communities, we introduced the PowerEd program. PowerEd amplifies our university relationships with the expansion of local student pipeline initiatives, scholarship programs, and mentorship across our business units. In addition, we will continue our engagement with STEM majors at historically black colleges and universities, Hispanic serving institutions, and other universities.
Our Constellation Scholars program provides scholarship funding to help support students who are first generation or come from low-income families, schools with high poverty concentration, or in underserved areas who are looking to pursue careers in STEM. Throughout the year, Constellation employees engage in outreach through networking, engagement, and mentoring opportunities for interested students while also raising awareness about Constellation’s internship program and potential job opportunities in their chosen field of study.
Trades Engagement
Constellation engages in outreach through various community training, high school, and pre-apprenticeship programs to provide awareness and exposure and help break down barriers to equal access to employment opportunities for those who have historically not had access to careers within the trades and energy sector. This includes various technical trades schools and community colleges such as Lincoln Tech, Community College Baltimore County, North American Trades Schools, and York Institute through our Constellation Home team.
