Recognizable by its sky-blue reactor building, Clinton Power Station in Clinton, Illinois, is a single unit reactor that can produce up to 1,080 megawatts (MW) of zero-emissions energy, enough carbon-free electricity to power the equivalent of 800,000 homes. The site's 5,000-acre cooling lake is open to the public for a large range of outdoor activities.
